Uncle Jesse came to visit

My brother Jesse came to visit this past weekend!  He came up to see baby Lucy and to go with us on our youth group's winter retreat to Mt. Hood, OR.  It was so much fun having him here and I know Lucy loved meeting him.  Jesse was so great with her, he was a natural :)  I loved all the pictures they took together.  I can't wait for Lucy to meet her other Uncles when we go to AZ in April for Easter.  I'm sure Lucy will have a special bond with them.

They were so sweet together.
I love her expression in this one.

Lucy's Dedication

A couple weekends ago Lucy was dedicated at our church.  Dedication basically means that Richard and I are dedicating our lives to bring Lucy up in a home filled with God and to live our lives in a way that reflects how Jesus lived.  It's different than being baptized, like I was as a baby, which is more of a choice she will make when she is older.  It was a really special time and I wish my family from AZ could have been there too.  We did record it though so they can watch it later :)

My Godmother, Ginger, got this special dress for Lucy to wear at her dedication.  It was pink and frilly and of course Lucy looked adorable :)

This was her in her "undergarments" before her dress was on :)

Recent Lucy pictures

It seems like we've been so busy lately and time is just flying by.  Lucy is almost 2 months now, we have her 2 month appointment on Monday and I'm excited to see how much she is grown (not so excited about the shots she will have to get).

My days are filled with feeding Lucy, playing and cuddling with Lucy and getting her down for naps.  It's a constant cycle but I'm so thankful I'm able to be home with her to spend these special days with her.  She has progressively slept longer each night.  She's at about a 7 hour stretch right now.  She'll go down for the night around 10:30, wake up once around 5:30 and then again around 8am.  It's nice getting to sleep a little longer and only having to get up once in the night, hopefully she'll be sleeping though the night shortly.

Here are some pictures from the last few weeks.

She loves having her hands up by her face, it helps her go to sleep.

I love her chubby cheeks here.

Rolling Over

Last week Lucy rolled over from her belly to her back!  I was really surprised that she's so strong already.  She's done it a few more times since then and I was able to get it on video last night.  It's so cute how she's so frustrated and when she finally rolls over, she almost seems proud :)
