Solid food video

Here's the latest Lucy video!  It's fun seeing her reaction to some of her new foods.  I love how she likes to look at the camera too :)

Six month photos

I can't believe Lucy is already 6 months!  That's half a year!  Lucy grows so fast and every day we notice something new she has learned or is doing.  Right now she is at the point where she's discovering she can roll multiple times.  She's also eating more solid foods; she's tried sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, pears and avocado (really doesn't like avocado).  She is such a sweet, loving, smart and beautiful baby girl and I thank God daily for her.

We had her 6 month appointment today.  She is average height and smaller weight wise, according to our pediatrician.  26" long and 13 lbs. 11 oz.  She had to get 3 shots, the worst part of the Dr. visits :(  It's so sad seeing her be so sad... but the good news is, no more shots until one year!

I wanted to take some pictures to document her being 6 months.  I think for her one year photos I will ask my photographer friend to take some so that I can be in more :)

Here's a comparison photo: 1 week and 6 months :)
Daddy loves Lucy so much!

We tried some outside, but it was pretty bright out.

I love her little scrunchy face here

First cereal

Lucy started rice cereal a couple of weeks ago.  I wanted to slowly adjust her to solids so I thought we could do cereal for a few weeks and then she'll be ready for fruits/veggies around 6 months.  I've been excited for this stage!  It's fun trying new things with her and she seems to do really well with change.  She really liked the cereal and it's so cute how she opens her mouth wide, ready for another spoonful :)  and of course, I got her initial reaction on video (which will be in another post).

A little weary at first

YUM!

Although it did get everywhere!

And I just had to include this picture because she just looks so cute!

Family wedding

This past weekend, Richard's Aunt Rena got married.  There were lots of family in town and Lucy had a lot of fun meeting and hanging out with everyone.  She's such a social butterfly!

First Father's Day

Happy 1st Father's Day to Richard!  Lucy loves her daddy so much.  Always giving him a big smile in the morning and when he comes home from work.  He's also pretty good at making her laugh :)  Thanks for being such and amazing daddy, Lucy is so lucky!

OSU

I have a lot of Ohio State fans in my family, especially since my mom's entire family lives in Columbus and we lived there too for 7 years.  This cute little onsie was sent by my grandma and I had to snap some pictures for her to see.  (my dad is from Michigan though and I'm sure we'll be getting a Michigan onsie in the mail sometime in the future)

Spring is here!

So far, we have had pretty good weather for Washington.  That means we've taken lots of walks and stroller rides.  There's so much more to do when you can go outside!  I've already posted the video from the last month so you can see how much she's grown but here are a few more pictures.

She's my little sunshine.  I love this onsie.

Hanging out on our deck in the sun.  She still takes a while to get used to the sun :)

She's such a big girl!  She likes to stand a lot and is so strong.

Hanging out with grandma and grandpa Doe on Memorial Day

She loves bath time!  This was just after her bath.

She's started to notice herself in the mirror :)
All ready for bed

Her new trick, she can grab her toes!
