During our ultrasound, our baby was moving around quite a bit. I kind of expected that because during our last ultrasound when she was only 10.5 weeks she did a little flip for us, and I had starting feeling her kicks earlier that week, her many kicks! I'm starting to think that we might have a pretty active baby, either that or a really smart one that is very aware of her surroundings :) Anyways, since she was moving around a lot, the ultrasound technician had to keep re-measuring things because our little girl kept changing positions. It was really amazing to see and I kind of wish we would have recorded it on our camera so we could look at it whenever we wanted.
When the ultrasound lady was looking at her "leg area" she asked if we wanted to know the gender, and of course we did! She said it was definitely a girl! And pointed everything out for us to see. Richard said he had a feeling it might be a girl and he was right! I, on the other hand, had no idea. We were both so excited and happy about hearing this great news (we would have been either way). Knowing the the gender of our baby makes everything seem that much more real and we are so excited to finally meet her. It's crazy how much love I feel for her already and it's only going to grow.
We got the ultrasound readings back a few days later and everything looks very healthy! We are SO thankful for this amazing blessing!

I'm so excited for you both! Finding out what Maya was made it that much more real for me too and I LOVED knowing! I'm sure boys are TONS of fun, but there's something a little bit sweet about seeing Daddy with his little GIRL!! You guys are going to be phenomenal parents!
I am so excited for you! I have to tell you that I had a feeling it would be a girl too :) I told my mom I think it would be a girl :) I know that your little girl will be protected, cherished, and loved so much! I really want to hold her when she enters the world! :) Congratulations to both of you!
